Dr. Kumar moved to Arkansas from India to complete his training in psychiatry and has since made Little Rock his home.
He completed his residency in Psychiatry with two fellowships in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and practiced at UAMS and Arkansas Children's for more than 6 years.
While helping adult patients who were struggling with addiction, he discovered that they usually began using drugs and alcohol in their teenage years. Being trained as a child psychiatrist, he developed a unique model for treating adolescents with addiction and has done that successfully for a number of years now. He has also been involved with research and teaching in both Arkansas and nationally.

Tanushree Dey graduated with honors and received her Master's in Counseling and Education from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Upon graduation, she worked as a mental health therapist with elementary school children and their families. She is passionate about spreading awareness about mental health issues on social media platforms. She also spends time volunteering in the community for various causes. In her free time she likes to spend time with family and friends. Her interests include traveling, reading and shopping.
